about me
My name is Carlton Thompson, and I just wanted to thank you for taking the time out of your day to view my page! A bit about me - I'm originally from South Haven, Michigan and am currently a full-time graduate student in the Master of Social Work Program (with a concentration in School Social Work) at Ferris State University while residing just south of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Creating a photography business/side gig/etcetera was not something I ever foresaw myself pursuing, but sometimes it's the unexpected that we enjoy the most.
My niche (so far) is engagement, maternity, newborn, and family photography. I have also worked with several small businesses, Grand Rapids Junior Chamber of Commerce, Ferris State University's Enrollment Services, and several independent contractors meeting their unique needs. Last but not least is my landscape/wildlife/astrophotography; I've partnered with a Michigan based printing company to provide timeless prints of my adventures pursuing these captures!
